IN POBLE SEC SINCE 1908

The history of this emblematic place in Poble Sec dates back to 1908, when the establishment was dedicated to the sale of ice, a time from which a century-old refrigerator is still preserved. Later, and for forty years, the Janiu family served the best anchovies and vermouth in Barcelona in this same place.

Reopened at the beginning of 2015 under the name of El Sortidor de la Filomena Pagès , in memory of the grandmother of one of the new owners, who offered food during the post-war period, the restaurant preserves all its modernist essence in a charming setting. Original doors from the early 20th century, marble tables, wooden chairs, high ceilings ...

The young executive chef David Sanmartin offers dishes of traditional inspiration but with a touch of modernity and imagination, always made with good market products. Eating here will always be special.
